FMA Barefoot Bowling
Sky High Facilities Management started the new year with a connection and collaboration event at the VIC Branch Committee’s Barefoot Bowling and Networking event on Thursday, 19 February at Port Melbourne Bowling Club. This relaxed gathering was all about building professional relationships and sparking new ideas while enjoying an evening of bowling. This event had a guest speaker, Wayne Balm, the Venue Presentation Manager at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), as he shared valuable insights into his professional journey and extensive experience within the facilities management (FM) space. As you can see from the photo, after the presentation, the team enjoyed some barefoot Bowling. Sky High FM are looking forward to attending again next year.

FMA - Digital Transformation
in Facility Operations
Sky High FM was proud to attend the AI with Digital Transformation in Facility Operations event hosted by the Facility Management Association of Australia (FMA). The session was an outstanding showcase of how artificial intelligence is reshaping the future of facility operations, asset management, and service delivery. Throughout the event, we gained valuable insight into emerging technologies including predictive maintenance systems, smart building integrations, data driven energy optimisation, and AI powered workflow automation. The practical case studies demonstrated how these innovations are improving efficiency, reducing operational costs, and enhancing overall performance across the industry. Most importantly, the event reinforced the importance of embracing digital transformation to remain competitive and forward-thinking. Sky High FM left inspired and motivated, with a clear direction to thoroughly research several of the technologies presented.

FMA - International Women's Day
At Sky High Facilities Management, we proudly support International Women’s Day and celebrate the achievements, strength, and contributions of women across our workplace, industry, and communities.
We are committed to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and empowering environment where women are supported to grow, lead, and succeed today and every day. As a company we attended the FMA International women's day
The event brought together inspiring voices who shared stories of leadership, resilience, and empowerment, highlighting the important role women continue to play in shaping a more inclusive and progressive society.
As part of the celebration, participants reflected on the progress made toward gender equality while also acknowledging the work that still lies ahead.
The atmosphere was one of unity, respect, and appreciation for the dedication and strength demonstrated by women in every field.
Sky High FM was honored to be present and show its support for initiatives that recognise and uplift women.
Events like these remind us of the power of community and the importance of continuing to champion equality, opportunity, and respect for all women.

Caitlyn Jackwitz – Celebrating Excellence
We are proud to recognise one of our outstanding team members as Sky High FM’s Employee of the Quarter.
Since joining the team, she has consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic, adaptability, and a genuine commitment to delivering high-quality service across all areas of our business.
Currently expanding her skillset by learning Concierge services, she has embraced every opportunity to grow within Sky High FM. At the same time, she continues to deliver exceptional results in both cleaning and gardening services, showing impressive versatility and dedication. Her ability to transition seamlessly between roles highlights her reliability and willingness to go above and beyond for both our team and our clients.
With a background in horticulture and hands-on experience using gardening tools and equipment, she brings valuable technical knowledge to every site. Her attention to detail ensures that each property is maintained to the highest standard, while her strong time management skills allow her to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
In addition to her operational strengths, her previous experience in administration and customer-facing roles is reflected in her professional and friendly approach. She communicates effectively, contributes positively to team culture, and consistently represents Sky High FM with professionalism.
Her proactive attitude, eagerness to learn, and commitment to excellence make her a valued member of our team.

SCA - Reading and Understanding Plans of Subdivision
Sky High FM is proud to be investing in continuous learning, with three team members attending the Reading and Understanding Plans of Subdivision training hosted by Strata Community Association. This specialised course strengthens our team’s ability to interpret strata and subdivision plans accurately an essential skill in effective facilities and strata management.
By thinking outside the square and committing to advanced industry education, Sky High FM is ensuring our staff stay ahead of the curve. This proactive approach means better advice, clearer communication, and more confident decision-making for our clients.

SCA - Social Networking
BBQ & Lawn Bowls
Sky High FM is excited to share that our team attended the Social Networking BBQ and Lawn Bowls event on 26 March 2026, hosted by Strata Community Association.
This event unfortunately had trental rain which meant there was no bowling however the night was a fantastic opportunity to connect with fellow industry professionals in a relaxed and enjoyable setting. Building strong relationships within the strata community is an important part of how we continue to grow, collaborate, and stay informed.
Our team had great conversations with Strata Managers, strengthening the connections that help us deliver outstanding service to our clients.

ABMA - Building Management Training
ABMA formed in 2012 as a group of Facilities Managers, lawyers, compliance consultants and service providers practicing in the residential strata space, joining forces to volunteer their time to come up with an easier way to navigate the 100+ Acts, Regulations and Australian Standards imposing duties on us for regulatory compliance around the maintenance of common property.
ABMA is a not-for-profit community support organisation incorporated to provide a platform for information, advice and self-assessment around regulatory compliance standards for the maintenance, repairs and care of common property in Australia.
Sky High Facilities Management work off the ABMA code to facilitate best work practices across all the services we provide our clients.
Our next group of employees that will be conducting the thorough training sessions, for accreditation in the ABMA.

ISSA Cleaning & Facilities Expo
Sky High Facilities Management are always keen on investing in new technologies and this year; we will be attending the ISSA Expo at Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. During our visit we will explore all the new cleaning equipment that will be on display and the new chemicals that can be used in our buildings. Sky High will post photos of our day at the expo.

Walk For Brain Cancer
Sky High Facilities Management is proud to support the Brain Cancer Charity Walk, standing together with our community to raise awareness and vital funds for brain cancer research and support services. This cause is deeply important, and we are honoured to take part in an initiative that brings hope, strength, and support to individuals and families affected by brain cancer.
Through our participation, we are committed to making a positive difference beyond our day-to-day services supporting research, advocacy, and improved outcomes for those impacted by this disease. Sky High Facilities Management have a yearly Christmas party. A subcommittee is formed every year to discuss what kind of function will happen. The Managing Director has a passion for rewarding staff for their efforts throughout the year during this event.
